Goldman... PepsiCo... Squire

The past month has been full of decisions!

Nate got a full time offer from PepsiCo in September. They were willing to let us go to any location (Texas, New York, or Chicago) and had great opportunities for Nate as far as different positions.  All locations were close to schools with great MBA programs. They also offerend him the opportunity to work from home part time until we would be available to move in the Spring.
We made A LOT of pros and cons lists to say the least.
Because Nate was given this offer so early we were worried we wouldn't have the opportunity to interview with other companies and have more than one option. Luckily, we were wrong. Nate worked hard to meet with companies he was interested in at career fairs and they were willing to expedite the process because of his offer.
Because Nate is AWESOME he got an offer from Squire&Company (an audit, tax, and advisory firm) and Goldman Sachs working in their IT department. We were lucky to make a great connection with our Bishop in New Canaan who works for Goldman and he gave Nate a referral. Needless to say we were so grateful for the three offers, but had a hard time deciding what was right for us!

Squire is located in Orem.  The postion for Goldman is in SLC and we decided Texas would be the most practical location for Pepsi because of cost of living

After a lot of praying and going to the Temple we both decided that Goldman Sachs would be the best option. Nate starts in January and we are thrilled. We were glad to officially make the decision only to have more decisions... we need to find a place to live and another car!

We were sad to turn down Pepsico because of Nate's good experience there over the summer. We loved the internship and already miss New York.  Lucky for us Nate will be doing some training for Goldman Sachs in New York over the summer so it will be fun to be back for a while.

But for now we are hoping to move in December. I start student teaching at my mom's school in January. So if anyone has connections in draper or sandy area we are looking for a apartment in that general direction :)

Nate sent his official acceptance letter yesterday. Hurray!

Elder Murdoch and 80's dancing

Most the time Monday's aren't the best, but I get to here from this guy every Monday which makes them totally worth it! This email is just pure AWESOME! I love him so much and miss him, He is SO fun and I can't wait to have him back so we can have 80's dance parties :) I thought this one a lot of you would enjoy. He is a Zone Leader and loving it. The best part of the email is high lighted in red if you think the rest is too long to read :)

Hey family! Well sounds like everyone for the most part is doing really well. Thats great! Dang whit, thats way rough i really hope that you can get better soon! Dang, sounds like I missed out on some adventures this week. Thats way suck... Anyways, its ok because I have some adventures of my own that I am excited to tell you about :) It really took me back to the days but first,  my week went really well!! We are seeing a lot of awesome things happening in our area and im way excited for it. We are also having another baptism this week. We will be completing a family which is also really awesome. She is way awesome and so humble. They are all doing really well and i am excited. Also, Geno is still doing awesome. He is so great because he just teaches himself. We give him reading assignments and he just like takes in all the info and when we ask him how his reading went he teaches us the whole lesson in like 5 minutes, then we pretty much just testify of what he said and check for true understanding. He is also part member, way cool. Right now we are working through some problems with some others that were supposed to be baptized and were ready but something really unexpected came up and they are still awesome but just trying to get through the trial. Pray for them. Our area to say the least is way awesome and i am really enjoying everything. Haha i dont want to brag or anything but the Iloilo north zone has been pronounced the most obedient and hard working in the mission... No but seriously we are doing like ridiculously good and pulling in ridiculous numbers. To say the least we are being extremely blessed with success and it makes it easier to account to president when your the best and they all ask what you are doing :) Ahh life is good. Thanks for the advice Nate, I really love doing that. It really is in my opinion the most effective way and they really have a better desire to do the work when you are just friends. My companion is very opposite of that and very serious so i think we work well together. Ok now for the big news:

So this week we had what was called a fun walk for all the missionaries and families in Iloilo north and Iloilo zone. So we all got to wear these yellow tee shirts and we did this little walk to develop a better relationship with the community so it was really fun. After we met in the plaza again this legendary filippino, (at least to me) stands up on the stage, (he was hired by the church) and we all started doing zumba dancing to 80s music. He was dressed perfect, head bands and all and I peed my pants. Yes, I went 80s dancing on my mission and it was awesome. Even President joined, which is pretty surprising. Anyways, the only kulang (I'm assuming this means problem? he intermixes languages every so often) was that Dax was not there or it would have been complete

Oh man, i will never forget it, it was so fun. I wish so bad i would have took my camera but i forgot it... In other words im doing great and so is the work. Hey by the way, the shoes i bought were only 20 dollars and they are hyperize nikes. REED YOU HAVE BEEN CHALLENGED! Looks like im taking the lead in bargain shopping... Anyways i love the work and helping the people, i know i say this all the time but i love my mission the only thing i hate is laba. Man, i wish so bad this country had washing machines.. Sometimes i feel like my time is going too fast and it scares me. I love you all so much and am praying for you always! sorry i cant sent pictures, we are on the stupid computers this week. Let me know if you guys are on, i will be for another 20. Love you!

Elder Murdoch

His companion right now doesn't like pictures much so we haven't gotten any in a while, but heres one of my favorites from the past.
